GYM BAG ESSENTIALS - PART 4

Hand protection.

One time were were at a dinner for a friend of mine and the couple sitting across from us goes, "Hey, are you guys CrossFitters?" "Yes...why?" "Oh, I just saw the tears on your hands and figured I'd ask...."

If you've been doing this long enough, you know that soft-as-silk sissy hands are not in your future. Which is cool - you will have the hands of someone who works hard, which is way more interesting. And functional. Having something to protect your hands such as a leather gymnastics grip or a makeshift grip out of athletic tape is great to have in your gym bag - not even because you need to use it on a regular basis, but in the event that you have a tear or are about to tear your hands, a "grip" of some sort will keep your hands in tact for longer.
