PINTEREST

Ok, so read this whole paragraph before you judge. Let me just get it out there first: Pinterest. I know, I know - bear with me. I swear, it's not just for women to keep track of their recipes, shoe shopping, and crafts (although I totally do that). If you're not sure what Pinterest is, it's like a virtual pinboard that lets your organize and share anything and everything that you find on the web. You can look at boards and pins of other people who share your interests and browse products, videos, etc. that they have pinned. So for instance, if Phil was on Pinterest (which he's not - he barely has a Facebook account for goodness sake) he would probably have a "Hunting Gear" board. When he's browsing around on the Academy website, if he sees a jacket or a bag or some bullets (I don't know...) that he likes and wants to remember or come back to later, he can "Pin It" to his Hunting Gear board. This way, when he goes back to Pinterest, he has direct links to the coat he saw at Academy, the fishing rod he wants from Cabella's and the duck call he likes at Gander Mountain all on the same page. Then he might have one that's called Hunting Videos so that he has direct links to the videos he likes instead of having to search for them on YouTube every time he wants to watch one of them. See? That's totally manly. He can control what kind of things come up on his main page to look through by searching for things that he likes and then Following people who like them too.

Anyways, the point is that you should create a Pinterest account if you don't already have one and follow CrossFit Central Houston on Pinterest. You will find boards that have great gear for CrossFit in case you're looking for the best shoes to WOD in or some more comfortable workout shorts. We have a ton of recipes pinned if you're looking to make a Paleo meal. There is a board of CrossFit movements, videos that explain how to do certain movements, and other videos that are just about CrossFit. There's even motivational quotes and videos if you're looking for a little encouragement. On the right side of this page, there's a red and white "P" for Pinterest icon that you can click on and be taken directly to Pinterest and start following us and/or creating your own board. It's totally manly. Or womanly...whichever applies....
