Burgers and Fries

Who doesn't love burgers and fries?? Pull out all the stops for these burgers. Anything you love on a hamburger - put it on there. Ours are usually topped with bacon, egg, avocado, tomato paste instead of ketchup (no sugar), tomato, lettuce and red onion. I'd also recommend caramelized onions and sauteed mushrooms. This recipe for "Fun Burgers" even has fried sweet potato strings topping the burger (#win), or you could just make some baked sweet potato fries as a side. If you haven't made oven baked sweet potatoe fries before, all you have to do is cut them up however you want (rounds, small cubes, fries, peeled, unpeeled...), coat in coconut or olive oil and salt, and bake on 375 for about 30 minutes, making sure to flip them about halfway through. Burgers made just the way you like and just as good or better than anything you'd get at a restaurant. Oh, and no buns allowed, but connected with the "Fun Burger" recipe is a cococut drop biscuit that she says works well in its place!
