RULE #5: DROP WEIGHT FROM BELOW THE WAIST ONLY. DO NOT DROP NAKED BARBELLS
We like our equipment and hope you do too. In fact, it was pretty expensive and we'd like to keep it for a little while. The 10# and 15# plates, especially, will become permanently damaged if they are dropped from the front rack or from overhead frequently. The rubber will warp and they won't sit straight anymore, and the metal ring on the inside will become detached from the rubber. Naked barbells have no protection when dropped and should be set down gently each time. If you want to use 45#, get a 15# bar and put some rubber plates on it, but these should NEVER be dropped from any height. #keepstuffnice
