Cosmic CrossFit is hosting a beginnger's only competition on January 26th in Pearland. There are two divisions in this competition: first timer and beginner. First timers are those who have never done CrossFit before. The beginner division is for those that have a very limited amount of experience CrossFitting - anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months. I would highly recommend checking this out! We all know how much harder we push working out in a group vs alone....imagine what it would be like in a competition! You will be surrounded by a supportive community of people cheering you on, the movements will not be overly complex since it's for beginners, and it will be FUN! If you are interested, sign up ASAP becasue registration has opened and will fill up soon. Phil and I would be happy to talk with you if you have any questions. Click here for registration and info.

Well, we all know it's getting close to Thanksgiving! The good news is that turkey is totally Paleo so we can eat all we want! Enjoy yourself and take a day to eat the foods that you love with your family....but in case you're wanting to a) try something different,  b) get some good use of leftovers or c) take the chance to expose your family to Paleo, I'll be putting up some great recipes for you to try the next couple of days. The first is this: Paleo Thanksgiving Stuffing. First of all, if you're taking this to non-Paleo eaters, they will love it, but don't call it stuffing. It has no bread in it (obviously), and it has been my experience that even when something Paleo is delicious, non-Paleo eaters will be turned off by it if the food is pretending to be something non-Paleo. For instance: paleo biscuits. They're delicious - but if you bite in to one expecting a soft, light, buttery Kelly's Country Cookin' biscuit, then you will be disappointed. It's delicious, but not the same. So anyway, call it a sausage and sweet potato casserole or something.
