OnRamp is a two-week long series of classes designed to prepare clients for the faster paced CrossFit class. CrossFit uses Olympic lifting, basic gymnastics movements, kettlebells, medicine balls, and more....and we want to make sure you know how to use everything safely and correctly!
During OnRamp we will learn the foundational movements of CrossFit including:
- Squats: air squat, front squat, back squat, overhead squat
- Presses: strict press, push press, jerk
- Power lifts: deadlift, sumo-deadlift, medball clean
- Olympic lifts: power clean and snatch
- Gymnastics Movements: pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, handstands, burpees, ring dips, and more!
- Other Common CrossFit Movements: thruster, wall ball, kettlebell swing, jump roping, rowing, etc.
ALL movements can be scaled to ANY fitness level - so even if you have no weightlifting experience, during the OnRamp course you will learn how to scale each movement to your current ability.
The OnRamp series is two weeks long and costs $100. Completion of the OnRamp series is a requirement for participating in regular CrossFit classes. You should choose EITHER the PM sessions OR the AM sessions. Please note: if you sign up for the OnRamp class series and miss one of the 6 sessions, you will need to schedule a 1-on-1 make up session at a cost of $25 per session.
If you are unable to meet for the regularly scheduled OnRamp sessions, you may schedule private sessions instead. The One-on-One Intro Series consists of 4 one-hour long sessions at a cost of $50 each, which will prepare you for attendance in CrossFit classes. Session times are scheduled on an individual basis based on the schedules of you and your trainer. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
